Technology now affords us the opportunity to safely observe and study animals in the wild. These resources include films, documentaries, IMAX productions and the Internet. In addition, the prospect of virtual reality will provide accurate representations of animals in the wild. The technology will allow us to view every animal, including extinct species, in their natural habitat, whether they live in a tree or a cave. All of these alternatives teach us about wildlife without confining a living species.
http://www.noazark.org/images/paw.gif
